Trade Finance Operations Officer (Corporate Banking) - Ethel T.

Our client, a reputable bank is looking to fill the role of Trade Finance Operations Officer. The ideal candidate is responsible for handling the day-to-day operations related to trade finance transactions, including Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, and Bills for Collection

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end trade finance operations including issuance, advising, and negotiation of Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, and Standby LCs.
• Process both import and export documents in line with UCP600, URDG, and ISBP guidelines.
• Handle documentary collections under URC 522 and other relevant trade finance instruments.
• Ensure timely processing of trade transactions, meeting client and regulatory deadlines.
• Review and scrutinize trade documents for accuracy, authenticity, and compliance with internal policies, international standards, and client requirements.
• Ensure all trade finance activities adhere to anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, and compliance policies.
• Maintain up-to-date records and files for all trade transactions in accordance with audit and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Trade Finance operations, preferably in a bank or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of international trade finance products, including Letters of Credit (LCs), Bills of Exchange, Bank Guarantees, and Documentary Collections.
• Familiarity with relevant international regulations (UCP600, URC 522, ISBP, URDG, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
